WE WILL CHECK IT FREE OF CHARGE. IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS WITH WHAT YOU HAVE SUPPLIED WE WILL NOTIFY YOU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, WHERE WE WILL GIVE YOU THE OPTION OF EITHER SUPPLYING US WITH NEW ARTWORK.
Our Mactime is charged at £40 per hour.
Optimum results
To assist NEC Graph-fix to achieve optimum print quality from your supplied artwork, we ask you to adhere to our requirements as set-out below. Please, only send us print ready artwork. This will prevent any further artwork charges being incurred.
Media Formats
- Please send your files on a CD with a colour proof alternatively.
- For fast turnaround jobs we do accept e-mail, ISDN, FTP ( where no proof is provided we accept no liability for print errors).
- Please save all files and folders as your company & job name.
- A folder for each of the following must be supplied: Artwork, Images, Fonts and Proofs
File Formats
All Digital artwork is produced on Macintosh in the following formats:-
Photoshop 7/8/CS- IDEAL FOR IMAGE BASED FILES
- Save files with NO COMPRESSION as TIFF's or EPS', Converted to CMYK, at full size 150-300dpi.
- Save all scans as Photoshop EPS' or TIFF files at maximum quality as Mac 8-bit.
- Do not flatten images as we cannot change them.
Illustrator 10 - IDEAL FOR TEXT BASED FILES
- Save files as EPS, Convert all text to outlines and delete any stray points and unused colours from the swatch pallette
- menu. 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/10 of scale.
QuarkXpress 6 - TO BE SAVED AS QUARK FILES NOT EPS'.
- Please ensure the file is saved with a .qxd or .qxp suffix
- All pictures, scans and fonts to be included, 300dpi and CMYK. Text to box where necessary.
- Please do not embed or nest Quark eps' in Quark documents.
- The entire design should be saved as one Quark page at either 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/10 of scale.
Freehand
PLEASE SAVE AS EPS FILES AND CONVERT TEXT TO OUTLINES.
We cannot accept the following formats:- BMP, Postscript 3, Corel Draw, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Paintshop Pro.
Fonts
Please supply ALL fonts in Macintosh format unless created to outlines – we cannot use PC fonts.
File naming
Protocol Suffix's - .ps, .eps, .qxd, .qxp .tiff etc..
Proofing
Please supply a hard copy colour proof. NECG will not be held responsible for mistakes if you do not send a proof with your artwork
Colour matching
Critical colours must be clearly indicated as Pantone colour matches are NOT always 100% attainable when working with four colour process. For optimum results use a pantone reference not CMYK values. (we can then use a pantone swatch for reference)
FINAL CHECK LIST
1. Convert RGB to CMYK.
2. All text formats MUST be converted to outlines unless supplying font folders.
3. Black should be converted to C:50% M:50% Y:50% K:100%.
4. We will not be responsible for the output quality of supplied picture files that are of poor quality 1922 490901 ISDN:studio@nec-g.com
5. No LZW or JPG Compression on image files
6. Artwork received incorrect may result in your job being re-scheduled – which may be later than originally stated.
7. We are always available for assistance in supplying artwork to us in the correct way.
